Chicago!
I had a great weekend in Chicago with my sweetheart Rachel. We went and saw Chris Thile (lead singer of Nickel Creek) and Mike Marshall pick away at their mandolins at the Old Town School of Folk Music. We walked all over town, at least 5 miles worth of walking! We checked out N. Michigan Avenue's shops, walked along Lake Shore Drive, ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company on Navy Pier, strolled through Shed Aquarium, and rode in taxis. We even took the train to and from Chicago for kicks--I recommend it over driving. Now for pictures:

The cousin of a lady friend of mine is a Professor of History at Purdue. Think he is on sabbatical this year. His name is "Buzz" Mork.
I've followed college football for over fifty years. Some of the most colorful names have played for the Boilemakers: Froncie Guttman, Ed "Bingo" Neves, Leonard Zyada, Walt Cudzik, Jack Calcaterra...and some of the endless chain of great Purdue quarterbacks had interesting handles, all of which seem to elude me right now because I am so old.
Anyway, good luck with the Blog, kid. Great photos--and a cheerful girfriend!
How romantic! Lucky guy and gal.
Wow, that looks like fun. All the traffic of Chicago intimdates me though.
